Peace efforts are invisible in the news media.
We want to change that.

Making Peace Visible connects peacebuilders with journalists, digital content creators, and technology experts to amplify peace efforts—making them more visible, better understood, and more supported.

On the Podcast: Coming this July!

If you’re one of our regular listeners, you might have noticed our episodes have been sporadic lately. That’s because we’re working on something special: a limited series focused on polarization in the United States.

If you’re convinced that working with the ‘other side’ is a lost cause, hear us out. We’ll be taking a clear-eyed look at what polarization is actually costing Americans — all of us — and where past efforts to address it have fallen short. We talk to experts from across the political spectrum about how to find shared solutions to shared problems: in journalism, education, government, technology, and more.

We also ask how ordinary Americans can begin rebuilding trust in a democracy we all depend on. It may sound crazy, but what’s the alternative?

Bringing journalists and peacebuilders
together

MPV was founded to challenge the prevailing narrative of conflict in today’s news cycles — work recognized by the Luxembourg Peace Prize, awarded to MPV founder Jamil Simon.

Highlights from MPV’s inaugural event—then called War Stories Peace Stories—held at The Times Center in NY.

“Finally! Thanks to Making Peace Visible, there is at long last an outlet that covers the world's conflict interrupters — people working in the shadows, with relentless creativity, to prevent violence. This is fascinating, important and rare.”

Amanda Ripley, journalist and bestselling author of High Conflict: Why We Get Trapped and How We Get Out

“I am so impressed with all that MPV has been accomplishing! The podcast series is truly wonderful, and I really loved the first issue of NUANCE. Both represent such high-caliber storytelling at a time when voices for peace are being drowned out.”
